A Note About Our Logo

The Hell ‘N’ Back logo is without a doubt one of the most memorable company logos in the welding industry, and people are always asking us where they’ve seen it before. Well, we’ve sold t-shirts and hoodies emblazoned with the logo to people across North America, so you just might have seen someone wearing our merch. Then there are all the stickers we’ve handed out at job sites, or mailed out to people who’ve contacted us through the website, so you might have seen one or two displayed proudly on someone else’s hard hat, or stuck everywhere from your local Timmie’s to a friend’s fridge.

Of course, there’s also the nostalgic feel of the logo itself. The Hell ‘N’ Back logo is based on 1940’s bomber art and classic pin-up girls like Bettie Page, which might be another big reason it rings a bell. In fact, we’ve come across more than one person who couldn’t believe it hadn’t actually once graced the side of a real fighter plane. Helen, as we affectionately call our she-devil mascot, might seem like she’s been around for the past 60 years, but she’s actually a completely original piece of art drawn by Hell ‘N’ Back co-owners Doug and Susan Thompson when the company was founded in 2004. In 2008 the Hell ‘N’ Back logo officially became a registered trademark, so you can expect to see it around for a long time to come.
